Seneca Caverns: Exploring As Above, So Below in Ohio
July 24 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm$50.00
Join Reverend Lucy on this trip to explore Seneca Caverns, located in scenic Bellevue, Ohio. Come to learn about the history of the Caverns and tour the geologic world under ground. We will also be focused on the Spiritual Principal of “As Above, So Below,” while experiencing the “below” energies of the Caverns.
For this tour, we will gather at Spiritual Horizons, 230 North Sandusky Street, in Delaware, Ohio, at 9:00 am, and then travel to the Caverns together. After touring the Caverns, we will stop for a picnic lunch and spiritual discussion before returning to Delaware by 3:00 pm (ish).
During the one-hour guided tour we will be walking the natural stone steps and pathways through “The Earth Crack” and view the Ole Mist’ry River. At the lowest level, 110 feet below the surface, the crystal clear flowing stream is part of the vast groundwater system underlying the surrounding region. Seasonal precipitation determines the level of the Ole Mist’ry River (water table) and the depth to which the cave tour is conducted.
A light jacket is recommended as the temperature in the Caverns is a constant and refreshing 54 degrees Fahrenheit. It is also suggested that comfortable shoes be worn for the tour.
Retained close to its original, natural, wild state, this subterranean tour is truly a unique and educational experience you will always remember. Experts have stated that Seneca Caverns may be the only cave of its kind open for public visitation. Officially designated as a Registered Natural Landmark by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Seneca Caverns is one of Ohio’s largest underground caverns.
Reverend Lucy Frances, MA, LPCC-S, Holy Fire® III and Karuna Reiki® Master is offering this trip.
